My research focuses on involving local stakeholders in conservation decision-making and governance. I use participative methodologies to work with diverse communities towards developing a holistic understanding of social-ecological systems, using birds and bioacoustics as powerful accessible tools for putting conservation in the hands of grassroots communities.
